Driving and Parking Tips from the Vandalia Division of Police:

During the Air Show

Those traveling north or south on I-75 to attend the Air Show should use Exit 64, Northwoods Blvd., where they will be routed onto Dixie Drive for parking. Parking Pass holders will turn north to enter at McCauley Drive; general admission traffic will be routed both north and south to enter general admission gates.

Those traveling east or west on I-70 to attend the Air Show should use Exit 32, the Airport Access Road. Traffic will be routed off the Access Road east onto National Road. General admission vehicles will enter the West National Road gate across from Dellsing Drive. Pass parking will continue to North Dixie Dr., turn left and proceed north to McCauley Drive.

Motor homes, recreational vehicles, campers and motorcycles will be routed off N. Dixie Drive near Skyview Drive and Vandalia Fire Station #1 to a parking area designated for those vehicles.

McCauley Drive will be maintained as two-way traffic during show hours. Wright Dr. will accommodate one-way traffic (eastbound) only.

The Vandalia Division of Police urges motorists to follow signs posted along the show route as well as the directions conveyed by the police officers.

Those traveling on National Road or Dixie Dr. during the Air Show weekend should expect delays. Motorists not attending the Show and residents of the affected area should avoid National Road and North Dixie Drive throughout the weekend if possible. Businesses WILL be open and business traffic will be maintained.

Motorists traveling to Dayton International Airport for commercial flights or to pick up or drop off passengers should use the terminal entrance off West National Road. Be sure to allow extra time in case of back-ups.
